Recently we received a generous legacy from the late Ella MacGregor which is allowing us to invest significantly in our work across South East Scotland. Ella’s donation will help us to grow the number of older people who rely on our call companions, activity sessions, and tea party groups for connections, companionship and vital support.
The executors of Ella’s will give an insight into the motivation for the legacy:
“During her lifetime, Ella was a kind, generous and sociable person. She cared deeply about her friends and acquaintances, and was interested in ways of enhancing both physical and mental wellbeing. She gave instructions in her Will to use part of her estate for the purpose of providing support and care for the elderly. As executors, we are pleased to be able to honour her wishes through this donation to Re-engage, to build and expand their offering in the locality in which Ella lived.”
The work that Ella’s legacy will fund is particularly important as the ageing population continues to grow, helping to ensure that we can support healthier, happier older age for people aged 75 and over in South East Scotland.
We are extremely grateful to Ella for her foresight and generosity.
